Farmers Mutual Hail is proud to offer federal Hemp coverage for the 2020 crop year. The USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) announced the availability of this new pilot insurance program in a recent bulletin.  

Hemp Actual Production History (APH) insurance covers loss of production due to adverse weather conditions, fire, insects and plant disease, wildlife, earthquake, volcanic eruption, and failure of irrigation water supply if due to any of these causes.  


Coverage Availability 

The product is now available in select states by using the standard MPCI application and change forms.  MPCI coverage is available for the following hemp types:

  • Fiber

  • Grain

  • Cannabidiol (CBD)
