How Does It Work?
Crop Fire policies can stand-alone or serve as an add-on to your existing Crop Hail policy.
Hail policy coverage: $700/acre
Fire policy coverage: $600/acre
Total fire coverage: $1300/acre
Payment from Federal Crop Insurance (due to fire damage), farm blankets, etc. also needs to be accounted for in determination of coverage. Fire losses cannot exceed the actual value of the crop.
